Ethiopian Sesame

Ethiopia is one of the world's largest sesame exporting countries, mainly produced in the states of Oromia, Tigray, and Amhara. Among them, Oromia is one of the most important production areas, accounting for more than 40% of the country's sesame planting area.

The quality of Ethiopian sesame is due to its unique growing environment and climate conditions. As most of Ethiopia is situated in the high-altitude plateau zone, coupled with sufficient sunlight, water, and fertile soil, Ethiopian sesame has a fresh taste, full particles, intense aroma, and free from impurities.

Ethiopian sesame is widely used in the production of various foods, such as bread, pastries, salads, sauces, and can also be used to make sesame paste and sesame oil. In addition, Ethiopian sesame is also used in the fields of medicine and cosmetics.
